About Muhammad Alam
Muhammad Alam is the General Manager for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Enterprise Edition in the Cloud + Enterprise Group within Microsoft. In his current role in the R&D organization, Muhammad is responsible for the product strategy and product development of Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations, Enterprise Edition. Prior to his current role, he was the General Manager of the Customer Experience Program in the R&D organization, across all of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Service & Marketing) and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Enterprise Edition (including AX2012, Dynamics AX7 and Dynamics 365 for Operations) applications. In that role, he implemented a portfolio of programs focused on streamlining, simplifying and improving Dynamics customer experience. Of these included FastTrack Program for Dynamics, built to assist our customers get to value in a successful and predictable manner.
Earlier in his career, Muhammad worked in the management consulting group at Ernst & Young LLP’s (E&Y), later acquired by Capgemini LLC. During his tenure at E&Y and Capgemini, he held a multitude of roles working with various global Fortune 500 companies. His roles ranged from consulting on Oracle applications, SAP and Lawson applications, business process re-engineering, outsourcing and organizational change management.
Muhammad is a Certified Public Accountant and a certified Project Management Professional. He also holds multiple certifications in various ERP products and other business applications. Muhammad, his wife, son and two daughters, recently relocated to the Seattle area from Atlanta, where they lived for over 15 years.
